A good cat eye never really goes out of style, and that was never more clear than at Paris Fashion Week, which wrapped up Wednesday. For their A/W 2014 shows, designers from Chanel to Kenzo paired the clothes with ’60s-influenced, high-drama winged liner: mostly in electric hues and all of it laid on thick.

Blue Velvet
Fun fact: When Kenzo designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim explained that their A/W 2014 collection was inspired by filmmaker David Lynch, MAC makeup artist Aaron De Mey created this electric take on the cat eye as an homage to the 1986 classic Blue Velvet. Color picks: 83 | shop it
